Description of Rolling Thunder: Rolling Thunder comes from the great herd at Hickman Longhorns. He is out of their cow Creole Dixie Lee, arguably the best longhorn in the breed, with 82 inches of high, twisty horns, great size and mothering ability, and an excellent production record. Two of her three mature daughters are over 80" tip to tip, and the third is our cow Dixie Cup who is in the 70's. Thunder is a magnificent looking bull with tremendous color, conformation, size and horn. He has the best disposition we have seen in a bull, and he passes it on to most of his calves. The Hickmans oldest Thunder heifers are routinely measuring in the 70's ttt during their three year old year. One of our heifers, RO My Oh My, measures 65 3/4" ttt at 27 months with a lot of twist! Thunder's bull calves have been very popular as herd sire prospects. It looks like Rolling Thunder's first two calf crops each have a chance at a 90" ttt female. This is out of just a handful of heifers in each crop (around 8). That's a pretty good track record so far!
